Hello everyone! Today we are going to talk about 5 very common verbs in Portuguese: querer(to want), pegar(to take/catch/pick up), pagar(to pay), comer(to eat) and beber(to drink).



The verb 'querer' is used to express a desire or a wish. Here are some examples:


Eu quero comer pizza hoje. (I want to eat pizza today.)

Ela quer viajar para o exterior nas férias. (She wants to travel abroad on holidays.)

Nós queremos um novo carro. (We want a new car.)
