Hoje vamos explicar a principal diferença entre o idioma que, assim como acontece com as variações do Inglês e Espanhol em diferentes países, também ocorre no Português.
Ao contrário do que muita gente pensa, o Português é a língua falada no Brasil (não existe o brasileiro), e apesar de levar o mesmo nome que a língua nativa de Portugal (onde se é falado o Português Europeu), são bem diferentes entre si.
Vamos começar com o vocabulário. Veja abaixo algumas palavras e expressões muito comuns e que são diferentes no Português do Brasil e de Portugal:
As diferenças acontecem porque, mesmo com o Brasil tendo adquirido o Português como língua com a chegada dos Portugueses ao país, ela recebeu influências dos povos nativos indígenas. Já na Europa, a língua foi influenciada também pelos vizinhos de Portugal: os italianos, os franceses e os espanhóis.

Today we will explain the main differences between them. As it happens with English and Spanish, that may have a few changes from country to country, this also happens with Portuguese.
Despite what many people think, there is no Brazilian Language and even though the primary language of the country is Portuguese, the same name as Portugal's native language, they can be pretty different.
Let's start with the vocabulary. Check on the board a few words and expressions that are very common and changes from Brazil to Portugal:
The difference is because, even though Brazil has Portuguese as the main language as the Portuguese natives colonised the land, it was also influenced by the native indigenous. Meanwhile, in Europe, Portugal's Portuguese has influences from their neighbours: Italian, French and Spanish.
